Australia’s first remotely monitored Tesla install?

Here’s the thing: apartment owners find it difficult to get body corporate approval for the installation of charging hardware.  Because of this, they tend not to buy EVs.  This is a problem.  We came up with a solution.

Over the weekend, we performed Australia’s first  “smart apartment charging” solution for non-networked EV chargers, after beta testing concluded last month.

JET Charge remotely monitors electricity usage, even if the charger has no network connectivity (which is the case with the Tesla HPWC), and then automatically reimburses the body corporate for the electricity consumed.

The tenant gets to charge at their regular allocated car space without the need for a new connection to the grid, and the body corporate doesn’t have to worry about chasing the tenant up for electricity consumed.

Win.  Win.  Win.  (the third “win” is for the EV industry in Australia).

Photos below.  We think it looks awesome.

If you are an apartment owner or know one who wishes to buy an EV but has problems getting approval from body corporate – you can contact us and we’ll help you out.  We can do it for any EV charger.
