Overview

The energy management system for businesses and building owners

CORE – an Australian innovation engineered by JET Charge, is a single ‘on premise’ intelligent, holistic, and autonomous EV energy management system (EMS) capable of managing up to 1000 smart EV chargers across common electrical & data infrastructure. Our world leading solution provides dynamic power management, single point administration, energy consumption real time monitoring, electrical asset safety and 3rd party integration to support your EV charging installation.

Chances are if your building is an apartment or commercial site with multiple EV charging needs, the JET Charge CORE (EMS) is a vital and efficient addition to your site’s electrical infrastructure offering resilience, capacity, and cost savings when scaling up more charging stations to support growing EV adoption.

Protect Electrical Assets

24/7 monitoring and control for your entire EV network.

Freedom to Choose

Simultaneously manage different EV charger brands.

Charge more Vehicles

Accommodate more than 5 times as many chargers with JET Charge CORE.

Scalable cost savings

Optmise your charging schedule and prevent peak demand charges

What do you want to provide to EV owners?

JET Charge CORE’s fully flexible and agnostic central EMS permits versatile scaling up of multiple EV chargers on a single site, whilst managing all chargers automatically. Whether you are starting small or planning for a bigger EV future, JET Charge CORE provides an important foundational back bone of your charging system. Here some examples of how JET Charge CORE can be a crucial partner in an apartment setting:

I want to offer EV charging for the first few residents

Retrofitting existing infrastructure
Buildings can elect to provide EV charging for the first few residents without any capital expenditure. These charging stations will be installed to the closest public light and power distribution board depending on how much power capacity and physical space the board has. The number of charging stations that can be installed on the board will be limited by the maximum demand of the network (generally between 2-6 stations).

Cost on OC: Low to none
EV penetration: Low

I want to expand my EV charging capability without a cabling upgrade

Load balancing across existing distribution board
Your existing public light and power distribution board will be retrofitted with the JET Charge EMS. This will allow more charging stations to be installed without upgraded cabling or circuit protection, typically up to 30 charging stations. There is a capital cost for the EMS, but this is relatively minor compared to what it delivers.

Cost on OC: Low
EV penetration: Medium

I want to futureproof my building(for existing buildings)

Electrical infrastructure upgrade
When there isn’t enough capacity to meet the incoming demand, buildings will need to consider upgrading their electrical infrastructure. This allows residents to retrofit chargers to their private parking space using the new system at any time. Detailed site assessments will be required to determine the building’s supply and capacity. Charging will be supplied site-wide, with load sharing conducted separately across each floor.

Cost on OC: Medium to High
EV penetration: High

I want to futureproof my building (for new developments)

Electrical infrastructure provisioning
We recommend new developments install EV distribution boards (DBEVs) at each floor of parking. By installing these boards at accessible locations, developers can minimise costs for the addition of more charging stations with time. Residents can then retrofit the submains later when they’ve purchased an EV. By involving electrical engineers and electricians from the outset, the most effective solution can be found for your building.

Cost on OC: Medium to High
EV penetration: High

I want to offer EV charging for all residents

Load balancing across entire building
This final stage of development allows load sharing for each floor across entire buildings. A central LMS is installed in the main switchboard to optimise energy consumption and ensure the building does not exceed its maximum demand, with supplementary systems to monitor individual floors’ usage. Detailed engineering is required to design the required load balancing solution for the specific needs of the building. Costs include engineering, hardware, and software.
