Luxury Japanese automaker Lexus have teased their first all-electric model.

Details are limited as of now; Lexus have teased us with a single image of an “ELECTRIC” badge.

The model will debut at the Guangzhou International Automobile Exhibition for press on November 22, and for the public on November 23rd.

Lexus have stated their first EV has been “Specifically crafted to suit the needs of audiences in China and Europe, this further advances the brand’s desire to offer a portfolio of electrified powertrain choices for diverse audiences worldwide”.

Whether those priorities will translate to Australian drivers’ needs remains to be seen, but we’re expecting an Aussie release to follow relatively soon after the Chinese and European markets it’s been designed for.

While this will be their first all-electric offering, Lexus have a long history of success with hybrid tech. We’re curious to see if they’ll extend the upcoming model to include PHEV or non-EV variants.
