EV Charging Billing for Apartments
Whether your building is managed by an Owners Corporation, Body Corporate, or Strata Committee — or you’re a developer planning EV-ready infrastructure — JET Charge makes billing simple, fair, and fully automated.
Fair and Flexible EV Charging
Who pays for EV charging?
In apartment buildings, electricity for EV charging typically comes from common power. Without a billing system, the cost falls on all owners — even those without EVs.
How do you keep it fair?
JET Charge Billing ensures every EV driver pays only for the energy they use, automatically. The building is fully reimbursed — keeping it cost-neutral for all owners.
Can accommodate private and shared charging
Every building is different. JET Charge Billing supports both private chargers assigned to individual residents and shared chargers available to all EV drivers in the building.
Private Charging
A dedicated charger assigned to an individual resident’s car space. The resident pays for their own electricity usage and a monthly platform fee directly via the JET Charge Connect App.
Shared Charging
Chargers located in common areas available to any resident. Users pay per session based on actual energy usage. The monthly system fee is billed to the OC and withheld from disbursements.
Billing that runs itself
Four simple mechanics that keep EV charging fair, transparent, and hands-off for your building.
You Set the Rate
Set your own EV charging tariff (c/kWh). We can recommend you set your tariff to cover the cost of electricity and transaction fees, but you can also build in a levy for capital cost recovery.
Residents Pay for What They Use
Each charger is individually metered. Residents pay for their energy usage based on your tariff plus a $20/month platform fee via the JET Charge Connect App if a private charger.
We Handle the Admin
JET Charge collects payments directly from residents. No invoicing, no chasing — billing runs itself.
You Get Reimbursed Quarterly
Collected energy funds are disbursed to your nominated bank account every quarter, along with a summary report.
What residents pay
EV charging in your building is entirely user-pays. Here’s what each EV driver is billed for.

Building EV-ready from day one?
If you’re a developer or builder planning a new residential project, we can design the billing and load management framework into the building from the start — ensuring the Owners Corporation inherits a fully operational, revenue-neutral system at handover.
We work with your electrical contractor to spec and pre-configure the right hardware, set tariffs, and prepare billing accounts before residents move in.
