A $20M initiative to build public fast charging

The DRIVEN Charger Grant Stream is a $20 million Australian Government initiative to build new, public, fast EV charging stations at automotive dealership and EV repairer sites. It covers chargers, installation, grid upgrades and batteries. The grant funds up to 50% of eligible costs in metro areas, and up to 80% in regional and journey-enablement areas.

What your site needs to qualify

Hosted at a Dealership or EV repairer

Chargers must be hosted at a dealership or EV repairer, or on adjacent land where the dealership or repairer has the right to install charging stations.

Publicly accessible

Chargers must be open to the public and accessible 24/7, not behind a gate.

Minimum of 2 bays with a DC Fast charger

At least 1 charger rated at minimum 75kW per bay (metro & regional) or 50kW per bay (journey enablement).
