The Role
We are looking for a fully qualified Electrician to support the installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair of EV charging infrastructure across customer sites.
You will work on AC and DC EV chargers, carrying out fault finding, testing, repairs, service work, and remediation. You will also support commissioning activities, complete compliance documentation, and provide feedback on recurring faults or site issues.
The role involves working with customers, subcontractors, and internal teams to resolve onsite issues safely and efficiently.
What You'll Be Doing
- Carrying out service, maintenance and repair work on AC and DC EV charging equipment
- Fault finding, diagnosing issues and completing onsite remediation works
- Supporting commissioning, testing and validation of EV charger installations
- Completing electrical testing, service reports and compliance documentation
- Ensuring all work meets Australian Standards, safety requirements and company procedures
- Responding to urgent service jobs and escalated technical issues when required
- Identifying and quoting defects, small works and remediation requirements while onsite
- Communicating with customers, site contacts, subcontractors and internal teams
- Supporting subcontractors and delivery partners with technical guidance where required
- Reporting recurring faults, site issues, hazards and incidents
- Maintaining tools, equipment, stock and vehicle readiness for field work
What You'll Bring
- Current Electrical licence (mandatory)
- Experience in service, maintenance, fault finding or breakdown work
- Strong electrical testing and diagnostic skills
- Experience with data cabling installation, testing and fault finding, including structured cabling and network connectivity preferred
- Ability to work across customer sites with minimal supervision
- Good understanding of electrical safety, compliance and Australian Standards
- Experience completing service reports, test records and compliance paperwork
- Clear communication skills with customers, subcontractors and internal teams
- Ability to manage priorities and respond to urgent service requirements
- Organised approach to tools, equipment, materials and job preparation
- EV charging experience preferred, but not essential
- Current driver’s licence
