Bids & Commercial Specialist
Full-time / Hybrid
What We Do
JET Charge started out of a driveway in 2012 and has grown into Australia's leading EV charging company, providing the technology and infrastructure to enable the transition to electric vehicles.
As this world undergoes a once in a several generations shift in energy and transport, we are at the forefront - constantly innovating to ensure the EV transition is sustainable, scalable, and impactful. From the country's longest EV charging highways to major fleet electrification projects and world-leading vehicle to grid trails, we're trusted by the largest organisations in Australia to deliver and operate their EV charging infrastructure.
The Role
The Bids & Commercial Specialist supports the development and conversion of Major Projects opportunities from early-stage qualification through to contract award. You’ll provide technical, commercial, and coordination support across bids and tenders – working with different functions to ensure high-quality, compliant, on-time submissions.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Own the submission workflow: for EOIs, tenders, and proposals – timelines, actions, inputs, version control, and final pack readiness
- Pull together technical and commercial content: scope summaries, methodologies, assumptions, compliance responses, and clarifications.
- Coordinate stakeholders: across customers and internal teams to get what you need – on time and in the right format.
- Support commercial due diligence: assist in formatting and scoping our commercial offers to customers to ensure we have a winning bid.
- Support contract readiness: track departures/clarifications, approvals, and handover documentations from bid to delivery.
- Help us get better every bid: capture lessons learned, improve templates, and tighten process.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience supporting bids/tenders/proposals (EOIs, RFPs, RFTs) and a strong understanding of what “compliant and client-ready” look like.
- Confidence running a multi-stakeholder submission under deadlines – planning, chasing inputs, managing approvals, and keeping momentum.
- Strong written communication and document craft – clear structure, sharp formatting, and attention to detail.
- Technical literacy – you can work with scope, drawings, and specs and turn them into a clean narrative.
- Commercial awareness – you understand assumptions, scope boundaries, and early risk flags.
- Comfort working across team and escalating early when things risk slipping.
