The NSW Government’s EV Fleets Incentive – Kick-start Funding is designed to help organisations take their first step into fleet electrification. It provides co-funding for electric vehicles and smart chargers, making it easier to trial EVs without taking on all the upfront cost.
JET Charge is one of Australia’s leading experts in fleet EV charging. We offer flexible solutions from outright purchase to subscription based ‘Charging as a Service’ solutions, all compatible with the Kick-start incentive.
What support is available?
Vehicle incentives
Eligible organisations can receive a fixed incentive per new battery electric vehicle, depending on the vehicle type:
| Vehicle Type | Incentive |
| Passenger vehicles & SUVs (RRP equal or above $40k): | $5,000 per vehicle |
| Light commercial vehicles (up to 3.5t): | $5,000–$8,000 |
| Heavy vehicles (up to 23t): | $10,000–$50,000 |
You can apply for funding for up to 15 vehicles in total.
Charging incentives
You can also opt in for smart charging incentives, with funding available for:
| Charging infrastructure | Incentive |
| AC chargers (typically workplace or home charging): | Up to $6,000 per port |
| DC fast chargers up to 60kw (where operationally required): | 50% of cost per port (up to $30,000 per port) |
| DC fast chargers above 60kw (where operationally required): | 50% of cost per port (up to $60,000 per port) |
| Charge as a Service (CaaS) solutions: | Contribution to CaaS fee payment |
You can apply for funding for up to 15 charging incentives. Only one charging port per incentivised BEV can be claimed under the incentive and funding applies to hardware, installation or Charge as a Service (CaaS) costs.
