Job Description
The role
As a Business Development Coordinator at JET Charge, you will play a vital role in driving the growth and success of our company in the emerging and rapidly expanding industry.
You will play a pivotal role in further establishing and expanding our presence in the EV charging infrastructure sector, with responsibility for identifying strategic business opportunities, building relationships with key stakeholders, and driving revenue growth.
With preferred expertise in the EV charging industry, combined with exceptional communication and negotiation skills, you will successfully navigate the market, foster partnerships, and maximize sales opportunities.
As a Business Development Coordinator, you will be responsible for a portfolio of clients, providing ongoing information, education, and support as they roll out EV charging solutions within their organisations. You will also work closely with Business Development Managers and Sector Mangers to support strategically important clients and the implementation of Line of Business Strategies. You will also be responsible for achieving specific metrics and targets to measure the success of your efforts.
Key Accountabilities
Sales (Total Contract Value)
- Sales targets set annual as a proportion of Line of Business and Business Development Team sales targets.
Average Sales (Total Contract Value) size
- $25,000 in first year
- Growing 50% each year
Average Sales conversion
- Average annual sales conversion of 75%
Sales (Total Contract Value) Pipeline
- Weighted sales pipeline equating to double the annual sales target.
Expand the customer base.
- Respond to 10 inbound calls / customer requests per week.
- 5 calls or follow up emails to new prospective or inactive leads each week.
Improve customer satisfaction and retention rate.
- Complete 10 follow up communications with customers per week.
- Ensure acknowledgment of customer questions within three working days
- Increase customer satisfaction metrics, such as Net Promoter Score (NPS) or customer feedback ratings, indicating higher levels of customer loyalty and advocacy.
Develop strategic partnerships.
- Manage a portfolio of 10-15 partners
- Work with Business Development Managers and Sector Managers to support strategically important clients and the implementation of Line of Business Strategies to drive mutual growth and access new markets or customer segments.
Proposals, quotes and tenders
- Write 8 proposals or quotes per month after two months.
- Contribute to five tenders per annum
Strategy
- Core understanding of JET Charge organisation strategy and Line of Business Strategies
Maintaining systems
- Regularly update simPRO, Pipedrive and any other systems used in the Business Development team, and in line with the established processes.
Professional Development and training
- Complete all Business Development training modules withing the first month
- Complete 2 days of professional development or product knowledge training per annum
Process creation and improvement
- Contribute to ongoing BD team operations, including coordinating and execute a minimum of two process creation/re-engineering/ improvement projects annually.
- Contribute to ongoing organisational operations, including involvement in minimum of one process creation/re-engineering/ improvement projects annually.
Safety
- Ensure your own safety at all times.
- Intervene where you see an unsafe act at any times.
- Report Hazards and/or Incidents immediately and rectify where possible
Other duties
Complete other duties as requested on time and in full

Education and Qualifications
Degree in Business, Engineering, Science or Arts. An electrical, energy or technical sales background is desirable but not essential.
