The Role

As a Product Designer in the Energy Management squad, you’ll join a Product Manager and a team of developers working on JET Charge’s most significant energy management initiative since launching our on-premise system, CORE.

You will simplify the complexities of powering large-scale EV charging infrastructure across commercial, government, and residential installations. This is a hands-on design role covering the entire product design spectrum: user research, personas, user flows, collaborative ideation, and crafting pixel-perfect designs.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Advocate for great design: Collaborate with your squad to identify and prioritise tasks that create a great, accessible experience for your customers.

• Move from zero to one: You’ll be an instrumental part of transforming our Energy Management offering by identifying and delivering innovative solutions to problems across multiple offerings.

• Product discovery: Actively participate in translating technical and business requirements into a good user experience.

• Be user centred: Understand the unique challenges of EV drivers, installers and EV infrastructure operators to enhance their experiences.

• Create cohesive design: Work with, and contribute to, our design system to create coherent and efficient designs.

• Data visualisation: Translate complex datasets into intuitive and impactful designs that help users make confident decisions.

• Build relationships: Create and grow relationships across the business, with other squads, and with key customers.

• Provide and receive feedback: Set up design critiques with other designers, developers and product managers in your squad.

• Deliver outcomes: Work closely with developers to design, test, build and refine your product through continuous iteration.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in design, HCI, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years Product Design experience, ideally in B2B SaaS.
• A portfolio that shows a strong understanding of the intersection between customer, business, and technical needs with a meticulous attention to detail.
• Proficiency in user-centred design principles and methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of interaction and visual design patterns. Able to write concise and informative microcopy.
• Experience working with and contributing to design systems.
• Expertise using Figma to ideate, create, and prototype designs.
• Ability to use research tools like Amplitude and Dovetail.
• Basic understanding of APIs and front-end code.
• Domain knowledge in EVs, charging technology, or the energy industry is a plus.
• Someone who will model our values and live our culture.
